Hailing from West Windsor, N.J., Brittany is a lifetime member of Eastern Express swimming under Brent Matheson. She has competed in meets at both the Sectional and National levels. Brittany qualified for Senior Nationals in the 400 freestyle in the summer of 2006 and has made Summer Junior National cuts in the 400 IM, 800 freestyle, and 1500 freestyle. She has also qualified and competed at the US Open, Janet Evans Invitational, and World Championship Trials. In high school, Brittany was co-president of the Outreach Committee, where she worked to raise money for underprivileged children and families in the Trenton Area through blood drives, food drives, and the Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen. In her senior year of high school, Brittany worked for the Red Cross where she delivered meals to the elderly, set up classes for disabled children and adults, and volunteered in a hospital. Outside of swimming Brittany enjoys going to the beach, reading, and spending time with her family. She chose Yale for its commitment to education, athletics, and the well being of its students.
