A diver on 1 meter for The Holton-Arms School in Bethesda, Md., for three years, Rachel came to the sport after participating in competitive gymnastics for 12 years. She captained the Holton-Arms team for the last two years that she competed and was selected the team's MVP for all three years (10th-12th grade). Academically Rachel was inducted cum laude in her junior year of high school.
Rachel's freshman year at Yale was the first time she competed three meter. She is looking forward to her second year in which she will be a more experienced competitor!
Yale is a family tradition for the Litt family. Her mother attended and her sister Miriam, who played soccer for the Bulldogs, graduated in 2004. In selecting Yale over the other schools that run in her family's tradition (Harvard and Tufts), Rachel found the balance of good academics and good athletics to be the best at Yale and to be the deciding factor for her.
