Yale Goes Up Against Harvard and Princeton

Cambridge, MA - The Yale women's swim team began competition today against Harvard and Princeton. Harvard leads Princeton, 108 to 61. Harvard also leads over Yale, 131 to 38. Princeton has 120 points to Yale's 49.

In the 200 medley relay, the Yale "A" team of Moira McCloskey '08, Marilee Kiernan '09, Meg Gill '08, and Alexis Mann '09 came in third place with a time of 1:45.06.

In the 1650 freestyle exhibition, Megan Bailey '06 had the second fastest time, clocking in at 17:35.21. Sara Fracapane '09 had the third quickest time with 17:37.82. Emily Cole '09 clocked in at 18:06.16.

McCloskey performed well in the 100 back, coming in second in 56.60.

Kiernan came in third in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:05.47. Katie French '09 was fifth in 1:06.74.

Gill was fourth in the 50 free, finishing in 24.17. Mann was right behind Gill, capturing fifth in 24.31.

Yale continues the meet against Harvard and Princeton tomorrow, Feb. 5, in Cambridge.
