Bulldogs Top Maine 158-131

The Yale women's swimming team beat Maine 158-131 at the Kiphuth Exhibition Pool Monday afternoon. The Bulldogs won nine invididual events, including two wins each for Melanie Loftus and Adrienne Mossler.

Individual winners for Yale included Mossler in the 1,000-yard free (10:51.60) and 500-yard free (5:21.80), Loftus in 1-meter diving (277.35) and 3-meter diving (297.45), Megan Bailey in the 200-yard free (1:56.68), Becca Knicely in the 100-yard breast (1:11.57), Daphna Shafir in the 200-yard fly (2:10.97), Kirsten Cartoski in the 50-yard free (25.34), and Paige Harazin in the 100-yard free (54.52)

Yale also got a win in the 200-yard medley as the team of Megan Bailey, Holly Mazar, Greta Matzner-Gore and Meg Gill finished in 1:52.01, edging Maine's second-place team by .48 seconds.
