    Bulldogs Win Multiple ITA Academic Awards The Yale women’s tennis team earned ITA All-Academic Team recognition and had four individuals named ITA Scholar Athletes for the 2009-10 season: Lindsay Clark (Bernardsville, N.J.), Silia DeFilippis (Short Hills, N.J.), Sarah Lederhandler (Miami, Fla.) and Stevi Petrelli (Harrison, N.Y.).

The win kept the Bulldogs in contention for an at-large bid in the NCAA Tournament when the bracket is announced Tuesday, May 4.

The Bulldogs improve to 11-4 with the impressive win while the visiting Bobcats fall to 5-3.

    No. 47 Florida International Edges No. 24 Yale, 4-3 The No. 24 nationally-ranked Yale women’s tennis team traded points all day with No. 47 Florida International in Miami on Saturday, battling back and forth with the host Golden Panthers. However, when the final point was tallied, it was Florida International sneaking by the Bulldogs by a score of 4-3. Jessica Rhee, Elizabeth Epstein and Stevi Petrelli won their singles matches for Yale, which falls to 10-4 after the narrow defeat.
