No. 24 Yale Falls to No. 21 South Florida 5-2

No. 24 Yale (10-3) dropped a 5-2 decision to No. 21 South Florida (8-4) Tuesday in Tampa, Fla.  The loss came on the same day that the ITA National Rankings came out with the Bulldogs ranked No. 24, the highest ranking on record in Yale women's tennis history.  

Yale won two singles matches and one doubles match in the loss to South Florida.  At No. 2 doubles, the doubles team of senior Jessica Rhee and sophomore Stephanie Kent cruised to an 8-1 win over Janette Bejkova and Lauren Shumate.  

Sophomore Vicky Brook rolled to a straight set 6-2, 6-3 victory over Melissa Koning at No. 2 singles. Playing No. 5 singles, freshman Elizabeth Epstein battled to a 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10) win over Natalia Guevara.  

The Bulldogs will be back in action Saturday when they travel to Miami, Fla. to take on No. 47 Florida International University.
