New Haven, Conn. – Junior Vicky Brook and senior Lindsay Clark have a chance to make history Tuesday when the pair will play in the doubles final of the 2010 USTA/ITA Northeast Regional Championships.

Brook and Clark will attempt to become the first Yale team to qualify for the ITA National Indoor Championships with a win in Tuesday's Regional final.  A win would give the pair a wildcard berth in the prestigious tournament, to be held Nov. 4-7 at the USTA National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y.

In order to clinch a spot in National Indoors, the No. 2-seeded Bulldogs duo will have to beat top-seeded Hilary Bartlett and Taylor Marable of Princeton.  The Bulldog pair advanced to the finals by defeating Dartmouth's Melissa Matsuoka and Molly Scott 8-6 in the quarterfinals and Penn's Alexa Ely and Connie Hsu 8-2 in the semifinals.

The three Bulldogs still alive in singles play after Sunday's action were all eliminated on Monday in the round of 16.  Brook lost to BU's Stefanie Nunic 6-3, 6-4, sophomore Elizabeth Epstein was beaten by Harvard's Holly Cao 6-0, 3-6, 6-4, and freshman Blair Seideman fell to Penn's Hsu 7-5, 6-1.

Tuesday's final will begin at noon at Dartmouth's Alexis Boss Tennis Center in Hanover, N.H.
