NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Coming off a tough loss to No. 20 Vanderbilt, the No. 40 Yale Bulldogs (4-2) will host a double header this weekend, taking on Massachusetts (Saturday at 2p.m.) and Eastern Tennessee State (Sunday at 11a.m.).
The Bulldogs have played well in the opening weeks of their spring season, beginning with a 7-0 victory over Buffalo, a 6-1 victory over Boston College and 7-0 sweep against Boston University. The Bulldogs' first lost came against national powerhouse No. 12 Notre Dame at the opening of the ITA Division I Kickoff Weekend. The next day, the Bulldogs bounced back to defeat No. 47 Utah 5-2.
After traveling for the past two weekends, the Bulldogs will return home to Yale's Cullman-Heyman tennis facility this weekend.
The Bulldogs' No. 40 ranking is a one-spot improvement over last week's ITA Rankings.
