PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. - Saturday, Yale senior Vicky Brook dropped her first round match to Nebraska's Mary Weatherholt at the ITA All-American Championships in straight sets.
The final score was 6-2 6-1 in favor of the fourth-year Nebraska player. The defeat means that Brook will go home empty-handed in her second consecutive year at the tournament, although last season she participated as part of a doubles pair.
Junior Elizabeth Epstein, ranked No. 92 in the country, will begin play Tuesday in the qualifying bracket, needing three victories to advance to the main draw and contend for the overall championship.
