NEW HAVEN, Conn. - As Ivy League champions for the second season in a row, the No. 28 Yale women's tennis team has already earned a berth in the NCAA Tournament as the league's automatic qualifier. On Tuesday night the Bulldogs find out which team, and where, they will be playing when the tournament begins May 11.
Last season, the Bulldogs were ranked No. 30 at the time the tournament started, and played No. 43 William & Mary at Duke. They came away with a 4-2 win, the first NCAA tournament win in school history, before falling to No. 3 Duke in the second round.
The tournament includes 64 teams, with 16 schools hosting first- and second-round matches May 11 and 12. The 16 teams left after the second round head to the Dan Magill Tennis Center in Athens, Ga., where Georgia hosts the NCAA Championship May 17-28.
The tournament selection show will be broadcast live on NCAA.com at 6 p.m. Eastern (delayed from its original start time due to technical difficulties):
