Yale Named ITA All-Academic Team for Sixth Straight Year
The final set of awards from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) for the 2012-13 season further solidified the status of the Yale women's tennis team as a powerhouse in the academic sphere. For the sixth year in a row, the squad received distinction as an ITA All-Academic Team, while three players earned recognition as ITA Scholar-Athletes.

Yale Claims Top Spot in Regional Rankings for Third Straight Year
The Yale women's tennis team received recognition of yet another successful season Wednesday when the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its final national and regional rankings. For the third season in a row, Yale earned the No. 1 spot in the Northeast rankings, ahead of all seven of its Ivy League rivals. Also for the third consecutive year, Yale posted a top 40 finish in the national rankings. Finally, players from across the squad's seniority spectrum secured spots in the final ITA rankings.

Elizabeth Epstein Receives Nellie Pratt Elliot Award
Elizabeth Epstein, who helped the Yale women’s tennis team win three Ivy League titles and four ECAC team championships during her outstanding career, is the recipient of the 2013 Nellie Pratt Elliot Award, the most prestigious athletic award given to a senior female at Yale. The award was presented at today’s Class Day exercises.

McNamara Named Northeast Coach of the Year by ITA
Yale women's tennis head coach Danielle McNamara, who led the Bulldogs to their third straight Ivy League championship and NCAA Tournament berth this season, has been honored by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association as Wilson/ITA Northeast Region Coach of the Year. This is the second time in three years McNamara has earned that award, as she was also honored in 2011.

A nail-biting first round NCAA Tournament match for the No. 35 Yale women’s tennis team came down to a three-set singles battle for the final point on Saturday afternoon vs. No. 23 Georgia Tech at the University of Florida’s Linder Stadium at Ring Tennis Complex. Ultimately, the Yellow Jackets prevailed, beating the Bulldogs 4-3 to end Yale’s season. Yale’s points came from a win in doubles along with singles wins from the team’s two seniors, Elizabeth Epstein and Sarah Guzick.

Thursday the Ivy League announced its 2013 All-Ivy Women's Tennis awards, naming freshman Madeleine Hamilton (Greensboro, N.C.) the league's Rookie of the Year. Two other Bulldogs, senior captain Elizabeth Epstein (Chicago, Ill.) and junior Annie Sullivan (Deerfield, Ill.) also received recognition, with Epstein joining Hamilton on first team All-Ivy, and Sullivan making the cut for second team.

The No. 37 Yale women's tennis team is headed to Gainesville, Fla., to take on No. 22 Georgia Tech in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Bulldogs, who earned a spot in the tournament as the Ivy League’s automatic qualifier for the third straight season, gathered in Ray Tompkins House Tuesday evening to view the selection show and find out their first-round opponent. Playing at the Lagoon Park Tennis Center, No. 47 Virginia (5-6, 1-0 ACC) narrowly edged out No. 34 Yale (9-2, 0-0 Ivy) in the battle for the doubles point before fending off a strong effort by the No. 1 seeded Bulldogs in singles play.

The Yale women's tennis fought its way into the semifinals of the Blue-Gray National Tennis Classic Friday with a dramatic 4-3 victory over Pepperdine at the Lagoon Park Tennis Center. No. 34 Yale (9-1, 0-0 Ivy) failed to secure the doubles point after a tense clash at the No. 1 spot, but the Bulldogs roared back in singles play. The comeback culminated in junior Annie Sullivan staging a courageous fight-back that included a pressure-filled finish in a third-set tiebreaker at No. 3 singles.

Less than a week after securing a memorable 30th straight victory at home, the Yale women’s tennis team travels to Montgomery, Ala., to compete in the Blue-Gray National Tennis Classic. No. 34 Yale (8-1, 0-0 Ivy) enters the tournament, which will take place at the Lagoon Park Tennis Center and O'Connor Tennis Center, as the No. 1 seed. The Bulldogs will challenge a talented Pepperdine squad (0-8, 0-0 WCC) in their opener on Friday at 11:00 a.m. CDT (12:00 p.m. EDT).

Home Winning Streak Reaches 30 as No. 39 Yale Tops No. 75 DePaul 4-3
Sunday brought a milestone victory for the Yale women’s tennis team at Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center, and it came in dramatic fashion. With a 4-3 victory over DePaul clinched by a tiebreaker win at No. 2 singles by senior captain Elizabeth Epstein, the Bulldogs ran their streak of consecutive dual match home wins to 30 (indoors and outdoors). It has been nearly three years since Yale last lost at home.

Sweep of St. John’s Keeps No. 39 Yale Perfect at Home
The Yale women’s tennis team improved to 6-0 at Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center with a 7-0 win over St. John’s Saturday -- the third home sweep of the season for the Bulldogs. In addition to winning all three doubles matches, the Bulldogs won five of the six singles matches in straight sets. Yale’s overall winning streak now stands at five matches, and the Bulldogs have won 29 straight home matches (indoors and outdoors) dating back to the 2010 season.

Just one month before the start of the Ivy League stretch in April, the Yale women's tennis team finds itself on a roll, having won four matches in a row, all at home, and six of the seven matches it has played so far this season. No. 39 Yale (6-1, 0-0 Ivy) will look to maintain this momentum when it returns to the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center this weekend for two matches against stout competition. On Saturday at 2:00 p.m., Yale will take on St. John's (5-5, 1-1 Big East), and on Sunday at 11:00 a.m., Yale will challenge No. 75 DePaul (9-5, 1-2 Big East).
