    For Seventh Consecutive Year, Bulldogs Post High Marks off the Court The Yale women's tennis team received the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team Award for the seventh straight season this week, showing that its players excel off the court as well. Additionally, four individual members of the squad were honored as ITA Scholar-Athletes for the 2013-14 season.

Freshman Caroline Lynch (Dublin, Ireland) received the team’s Special Contribution Award, while junior Hanna Yu (Northbrook, Ill.) was named Most Improved and won the Lisa Rosenblum Award for most valuable player.

    Danielle McNamara Steps Down Danielle McNamara announced Tuesday that she is stepping down as Yale’s Swensen-McMahon Head Coach of Women’s Tennis. McNamara led Yale to four Ivy League Championships, four NCAA Tournament appearances and four ECAC Indoor Team Championships in her eight seasons as the Bulldogs’ head coach. Her overall record at Yale was 124-49, and the team was 48-8 in Ivy League matches.

Playing at the Whiteman Tennis Center, No. 50 Yale (5-6, 0-0 Ivy) performed at a high level in singles play after narrowly dropping the doubles point. Of the Bulldogs' six singles victories, four were decided in a third set.
