Sullivan Wins on Senior Day

NEW HAVEN, Conn. —Saturday at the Yale Tennis Center the No. 47-ranked Yale women's tennis team (14-8, 6-1 Ivy) finished out its Ivy League season with a 4-3 win over Brown. The Bulldogs end the season second in the Ivy League.

Saturday was Senior Day, and Yale's only senior, captain Annie Sullivan had a banner day, winning at No. 3 doubles with sophomore Courtney Amos before continuing her win streak at No. 3 singles. Sophomores Madeleine Hamilton and Ree Ree Li, the nation's No. 62 doubles pair, had the other doubles victory at No. 2 to give the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead.

Ree Ree Li was 2-0 on the day, also winning her singles match against Sarah Kandath at No. 4. Amos had the third singles victory at No. 6, giving the Bulldogs the win by a score of 4-3.

With Saturday's match behind them, the Bulldogs have finished their regular season. For the first time in four seasons, Yale has not earned an automatic bid in the NCAA Division I Championship and will have to hope for an at-large bid in the Selection Show on Apr. 29.
