Battaglia to Compete at All-American Championships

 Freshman Madison Battaglia Will Enter the Pre-Qualifying Singles Draw

NEW HAVEN, Conn. This weekend, freshman Madison Battaglia will travel to Los Angeles to compete at the United States Tennis Association (USTA)/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Women's All-American Championships. Hosted annually at the Riviera Tennis Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif., the championships is one of the most prestigious tournaments for college athletes.

Ranked No. 10 by the ITA National Newcomer/Freshman Rankings, Battaglia will make her collegiate debut at the competition. Among her past achievements include winning the Gold Ball at the USTA National Spring Team Championships, ranking No. 280 in International Tennis Federation and ranking as high as No. 23 by tennisrecruiting.net.

Battaglia will compete in the pre-qualifying matches starting Saturday, Oct. 1. The qualifying rounds will start on Tuesday, Oct. 4, and main draw play will begin on Thursday, Oct. 6.
