Yale Victorious in Four Matches
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Competing at the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center, the Bulldogs won four matches against the Big Red on the second day of the Bulldog Invitational. In addition to those four victories, Yale also played a multitude of close matches that went to three sets.
Senior Tina Jiang rebounded from Friday's loss in her win against Marika Cusick at No. 1 singles. Although Jiang had to push through a tiebreak to take the first set, she swept past Cusick 6-0 in the second to win the match 7-6(2), 6-0. Playing at No. 3 singles, junior Elizabeth Zordani also came back from a Friday setback. Despite dropping the first set to Priyanka Shah, Zordani proceeded to win the match 3-6, 6-1, 7-6 (10). Junior Valerie Shklover improved her fall record to 4-1 after her 6-2, 6-1 victory over Ananya Dua at No. 5 singles.
In doubles play, Lynch and sophomore Caroline Amos competed as a pair for the first time, defeating Allegra Hanlon and Ananya Dua 6-4 at No. 4 doubles. Playing at No. 2 doubles, Yang and freshman Opala Dhingra also formed a new pair. Yang and Dhingra played a tight match against Priyanka Shah and Mariko Iinuma but was defeated 7-6(4) by their counterparts.

Yale will play against Boston College on Sunday at 12 p.m for the final day of the Bulldog Invitational.
