Yale Defeated 6-1 by Long Beach State

Finke Wins Yale's Single Point

LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Yale women's tennis team fell 6-1 to Long Beach State on Friday at the Rhodes Tennis Center. The match concludes Yale's spring tour in southern California.

Although Long Beach took the doubles point, senior Caroline Lynch and sophomore Amy Yang defeated Maren Helgo and Natalia Munoz 6-3 on court 3.

Playing against Maeva Razakasoa at No. 1 singles, junior Carol Finke won Yale's single point. Although Finke conceded the first set 6-2, she came back to win the match 2-6, 7-5, 11-9.

Yale will next compete at home against Boston University on Friday, Mar. 24 at 5:00 p.m.
