Yale Falls to Harvard 4-3

Jiang, Yang and Zordani Victorious at Singles

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Yale women's tennis team narrowly fell 4-3 to Harvard on Sunday.

After Harvard took the doubles point, three Bulldogs responded with victories. At No. 2 doubles, sophomore Amy Yang fought through a three-match set against June Lee. Yang staved off a comeback, winning her match 7-6(6), 5-7, 10-4 after taking the first set then conceding the second. On court 4, senior captain Tina Jiang cruised past Irene Lu 6-3, 6-4. In the No. 5 spot, junior Elizabeth Zordani came back from a first set loss to defeat Annika Ringblom 3-6, 6-4, 6-1.

The Bulldogs will be back on the road next weekend, competing against Princeton on Friday at 1:00 p.m. and Penn on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
