They bounced back later in the day with a 4-2 victory over Fresno State to finish the tournament in 7th place.

    Samantha Martinelli made her first appearance in this week’s Oracle/ITA National Tennis Rankings, coming in at No. 123 in the country. Martinelli’s upward surge could not come at a better time, as the Yale women’s tennis team will head to Montgomery, Alabama to participate in the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic this coming weekend. The field consists of eight of the best teams from around the country, including Oklahoma St., Auburn, Texas Tech, Fresno. St, Alabama, Illinois and Wake Forest.
