NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Yale women's tennis team's hopes of claiming the ITA regional championship singles winner came to an end on Monday afternoon, with both remaining players falling in the quarterfinals.
Caroline Dunleavy found herself on the losing end of a thrilling two-set match, falling 7-6, 6-4 to Harvard's Jenna Friedel. Meanwhile, Samantha Martinelli lost 6-3, 6-0 to Miranda Ramirez of Syracuse; it marks the second straight year that Martinelli was ousted from the tournament by an Orange.
