Big Green Invitational Concludes

HANOVER, NH- The Yale women's tennis team wrapped up the Big Green Invitational and their fall season on Sunday afternoon with singles matches against Denver and UMass. 

The Bulldogs fought Denver, one of the best teams in the nation, tooth and nail. Jessie Gong and Samantha Martinelli both fell in decisive third sets, with Gong's being especially close, coming down to 7-5 in the deciciding set. Amy Yang lost in straights, but both were tight sets that went to tiebreaks. Raissa Lou continued her excellent start, winning 6-3, 6-0 while Kathy Wang was similarly dominant in a 6-0, 6-2 victory. 

Caroline Dunleavy, Lauren Gillinovand Sarah Cameron all played UMass, the third consecutive day the two teams played. Dunleavy gutted out a three set victory, while Gillinov and Cameron both found themselves on the losing end of their matches. 

This marks the final play for the Bulldogs until January. The team enjoyed a successful fall season and will come into the spring with high expectations, eager to compete for the Ivy League title.
