Bulldogs Wrap up Season in Princeton

PRINCETON, NJ. - The Yale women's tennis team wrapped up their season with a 4-0 loss to No. 34 Princeton (18-4, 7-0 Ivy) earlier Sunday afternoon. The Tigers have been one of the best teams in the nation all year long and finished undefeated in Ivy League play to win the conference title.

Princeton started out doubles with wins in the No. 1 and No. 2 spot to take an early 1-0 lead. Caroline Amos, playing in her final match as a Bulldog, and Kathy Wang were on serve before their match finished early.

The Tigers continued their stellar play in singles, winning the No. 2, No. 3 and No. 5 matches in straight sets to clinch the 4-0 victory. Jessie Gong and Samantha Martinelli were both leading before their matches were suspended.

The Bulldogs conclude what was ultimately a very solid season at 12-11 with a 4-3 record in Ivy League play.
