Boca Raton, FL - The Yale women's tennis team came back from a series of tough losses for a big win today against Florida Atlantic University. The Bulldogs won the match 4-3.
Aimee Kim '07 secured the final and deciding point for the Bulldogs at the No. 2 singles spot in a three set match that was a first set tie-breaker. Kim won the match against Elodie Wendling 7-6(3), 2-6, 6-2.
Yale swept the doubles matches for the point. A. Kim and Ashley Miles '09 won the No. 1 spot against Claudia Kecht and Elodie Wendling 8-3. In the No. 2 spot, Rashmee Patil '07 and Olivia Nix '07 smashed opponents Pia Terol and Katherine Bartnik 8-2. Lindsey Dashiell '08 and Christine Alford '07 played in the No. 3 spot, and defeated Danielle Simone and Sandra Moreno-Perregaard 8-4.
The Elis face off against Duke on Mon., March 13 at 11 a.m. in Orlando.
