Yale Crushes Dartmouth

Hanover, NH - The Yale women's tennis team has a tremendous win today against Dartmouth. The win puts the Elis at 8-9 on the season and 3-3 in the Ancient Eight.

In singles action, Rashmee Patil '07 captured the No. 1 spot by defeating Megan Zebroski 6-3, 3-6, 6-4. Janet Kim '09 played in the No. 2 spot and easily smashed her opponent, Linsday Winingham, in straight sets 6-2, 6-1. Aimee Kim kept up the Bulldog's dominant streak by also winning in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2, against Kerry Snow for the No. 3 spot. Ashley Miles '09, playing as the No. 4 seed, did the Elis proud with an astounding 6-3, 6-0 victory over Jamie Caplan. Lilian Nguyen '09 claimed the No. 6 spot with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Katie Jaxheimer.

Yale failed to secure the doubles point, but the team of A. Kim and Christina Cutter still managed to best their opponents, winning the No. 2 spot 8-2.

The Bulldogs finish their season at home in New Haven on Wed., Apr. 26 at 2:30 pm against Brown.
