Bulldogs Close Out Regular Season With 5-2 Win Over Brown

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Yale women's tennis closed out its regular season today with a resounding 5-2 win over Brown in New Haven. With the win, the Bulldogs finish 9-9 on the season (4-3 Ivy) and in a tie for third with Princeton in the Ancient Eight standings.

The Bulldogs roared out to a 1-0 lead over the Bears, taking two of three doubles matches. No. 1 Rashmee Patil and Olivia Nix crushed Kelly Kirkpatrick and Ashley Pariser, 8-1, and Lindsey Dashiell and Janet Kim thrashed Daisy Ames and Brett Finkelstein by the same 8-1 score.

From there, Yale rolled to a relatively easy win, taking each of the top four singles matches. No. 1 Patil beat Ames handily, 6-2, 6-2, and No. 2 Janet Kim survived an epic three-set battle with Amanda Salontz, 6-7(7), 6-4, 10-4. No. 3 Aimee Kim easily handled Finkelstein, 6-3, 6-1, and No. 4 Ashley Miles whipped Pariser, 6-1, 6-1.
