Bulldogs Ranked No. 74 Nationally

New Haven, Conn. - Coming off a weekend in which they clinched both an NCAA Tournament Berth and an outright Ivy League Championship, the Bulldogs (11-8, 7-0) were ranked No. 74 in the April 22 edition of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Rankings.
Yale clinched its first outright Ivy League Title since 1981 on Sunday to earn its first NCAA Tournament Berth ever. The Bulldogs were rewarded for their incredible season by receiving a national ranking for the first time since being ranked No. 73 back on February 5.
The NCAA will announce the Tournament brackets on Tuesday April 29 at 2 p.m. on ESPNEWS. Sixty-four teams compete in the single elimination Division I Women's Tennis Championships, which begin with the first and second rounds the weekend of May 9-11 at 16 different sites across the country. The Tournament will continue with the round of 16 May 15, the quarterfinals May 17, the semifinals May 19, and the national championship May 20 all at the University of Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The Bulldogs clinched the outright Ivy League Title by going 7-0 in Ivy League play this season. With the Title, Yale earned one of the 31 automatic bids to the NCAA Tournament.
