Grace Receives All-Ivy Recognition
First at Heptagonal Championships
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Junior Kate Grace received first-team All-Ivy honors for the 2009-2010 indoor track season. The Ivy League announced the 2010 honorees on Tuesday following the Heptagonal Championships this past weekend. Grace won the 800-meter run at the Ivy League Championships for the second year in a row.
Grace (Santa Monica, Calif.) won the 800-meter run on Sunday in 2:07.77, which is .6 seconds faster than she ran in 2009. Grace also received first-team All-Ivy recognition last spring in the outdoor season. She has received All-East honors for her performances both indoor and outdoor in the 800-meter run, and last March earned All-American honors at the NCAA Championships. Grace's time on Sunday meets the provisional qualifying time for NCAAs, but it has yet to be seen whether she will be able to compete in the Championships this March in Arkansas.
Grace will compete this weekend at ECAC Championships in Boston, Mass.
