GREENSBORO, N.C. – On the second day of the NCAA Regional Championships, junior Kate Grace competed in the quarterfinals of the 800-meter run and qualified for NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore., June 9-12. Senior Claudia Duncan also competed in the quarterfinals of the 400-meter dash.

Grace raced 2:04.22 in the 800-meter run, which is a school record. It is Grace's PR in the event, and was the seventh-fastest time of the day. That was a good follow-up to her 2:08.51 performance on Thursday in the semifinals.

Duncan finished her race in 54.62 for 20th place on Friday evening. This was an impressive follow-up to her 54.03 performance on Thursday in the semifinals.

Sophomore Anne Lovelace was also scheduled to run in the 3,000-meter steeplechase on Friday night, but inclement weather postponed the race to Saturday at 10:10 a.m. Senior Alexandra Cadicamo will also compete in the 5,000-meter run at 8:45 p.m. on Saturday.
