EUGENE, Ore. – Thursday was the second day of the NCAA Championships, hosted by the University of Oregon. Sophomore Anne Lovelace competed in the semifinals of the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
Lovelace finished in a time of 10:58.75. Her PR going into the meet was 10:27.60. Lovelace's time placed her 23rd in the semifinals; only the top 14 went on to the finals in the event. The fastest time of the day was Colorado's Emma Coburn at 9:59.69. This was the end of a great season for Lovelace, and hopefully she will be back to compete at NCAAs next year.
On Friday senior Kate Grace will be competing in the finals of the 800-meter run at 5:50 PM PDT.
