NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale women's track and field team hosted their second meet of the season today at Coxe Cage. Strong performances from the jumps, hurdles and relay contingents powered the Bulldogs throughout the day.
Senior Emily Standish leapt to 1.55m in the high jump, an effort that gave her second place. Freshman Emily Urciuoli placed third in the pole vault with a jump of 3.45m. She was followed by sophomore Jenna Poggi, who placed third in that event with 3.3m. The team closed out the day with a series of relays. Yale's best performances of the day were in the distance medley relay and the 4x800-meter relay, where Yale teams took the first three spots in each. A team comprising senior Kate Grace, freshman Jenna Hessert, sophomore Nihal Kayali and sophomore Elizabeth Marvin placed first in the distance medley relay in 11:50.04.
