Women's Track and Field Kicks Off 2013

Bulldogs Host Yale Invitational at Coxe Cage

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - After a long winter break, the Yale women's track and field team will start its 2013 season at home when it hosts the Yale Invitational on Saturday at Coxe Cage in New Haven. Regional teams will compete against the Bulldogs as a chance to gauge their winter training and gear up for the Ivy League competition that awaits.

The team is anxious to get back into the competitive spirit and will compete in a full complement of track and field events. After dominant performances by many freshmen at the Season Opener last month, the Bulldogs will look to capitalize on their winter gains and impress local competition. Athletes to watch include sophomore jumper Alisha Jordan, senior captain Allison Rue, freshman pole vaulter Renee Vogel and freshman thrower Karleh Wilson.

The meet will start at 9:00 a.m. with field events and track events will start at noon. Meet results will be available at www.coolrunning.com and www.yalebulldogs.com at the end of the day. Spectator buses will leave from Payne Whitney Gym every fifteen minutes for the duration of the meet.
