New HAVEN, Conn.—This Friday marked the first day of the 2014 ECAC Championships, hosted by Boston University. Senior captain Amanda Snajder took to the track in the pentathlon, the event in which she holds the school record. Though she was the only Bulldog competing, Snajder did not let that stop her from taking second out of fifteen competitors, racking up 3569 points. The pentathlon is comprised of five events: the 60-meter hurdles, high jump, shot put, long jump and 800-meter run. Snajder's best finish came in the high jump, where she placed third. However, her performance was strong across the board, with top-five finishes in the 60-meter hurdles and long jump, and top-10 finishes in the 800-meter run and shot put.

The majority of events will take place on Saturday, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Live results are available here, and a complete schedule is available here.
