NEW HAVEN, Conn.-Junior Alisha Jordan represented Yale in the triple jump on Friday at the Penn Relays. The meet is the largest in the country, and features various divisions in which athletes may compete.

Jordan competed in the Eastern College Women's division on Thursday, a race featuring competitors she will likely see again, from schools such as Columbia and Boston University.

Jordan placed 10th out of 31 contenders. Her mark of 11.86m (38-11) is not far off her season-best leap of 11.92m. In her three years of competition, Jordan has become adept in the triple jump. While she often competes in the long jump as well, the triple jump is by far her best event, and the one in which she holds the third-best mark in Yale history.

The Penn Relays will continue on Saturday. A complete schedule and live results can be found here.
