Squad Runs Eighth Fastest 4x800-Meter Relay Time in Yale History

Cable Competes in 400-Meter Dash at ECACs

PRINCETON, N.J.-This Saturday marked the second day of the ECAC Championships for the Yale women's track and field team. The meet is held in Princeton, N.J, and will continue until tomorrow. A complete schedule is available here. Live results will be offered at http://tumeytiming.com/.

Four Bulldogs came together on Saturday to compete in the 4x800-meter relay. Junior Kira Garry, sophomore Shannon McDonnell, freshman Frances Schmiede and freshman Emily Waligurski stole seventh place with their time of 8:55.57—the eighth fastest that has ever been run in the school's history. The squad beat out 17 other teams to qualify for the final round of competition, held tomorrow.

Junior Emily Cable also competed on Saturday. Her time of 55.89 earned her 15th place in the 400-meter dash.
