RALEIGH, N.C. -- The sun-filled Raleigh Relays continued for day two of competition on Saturday. Sophomore Addison Coy and first year Samantha Friborg were the sole competitors for the Yale women's track and field team.

Coy, the outdoor Ivy League Champion in the 400-meter hurdles, debuted in her signature event coming off a solid performance in the open 400-meter run on Friday. After focusing on the 400-meter and 500-meter run during the indoor season, she competed in her first hurdle race of the year on Saturday.

She displayed her toughness as, despite dealing with a fall, she finished the race.

Throughout the season, Coy will be an athlete to keep an eye out for in the event as she is undoubtedly the favorite to win the event in the Ivy League.

Friborg kicked off her outdoor season in the 800-meter run. During the indoor season, she also focused on the event and landed herself in the finals at the Ivy League Indoor Track and Field Championship as well as the ECAC Championship.

At Raleigh, Friborg crossed the line in 2:08.80, just off her indoor season-best time set earlier in the year. She finished sixth in a stacked field of competition.

Complete results can be found here.

Saturday concludes the action from the Raleigh Relays, but this weekend marks the start of an exciting season of competition for the Bulldogs. In the opening meet of the outdoor campaign, the Bulldogs had an auspicious start, with new athletes making their marks on the all-time lists. Next up, the majority of the team will head to Princeton to compete in the Sam Howell Invitational on Friday.
