Joslyn Woodard picked up a first place finish in the long jump and a second place standing in the 60 meter dash and Molly Lederman won the pole vault as the Elis hosted the Yale Collegiate Classic at the newly renovated Coxe Cage in New Haven.
Woodard's jump of 5.9 meters earned her the top spot in the long jump, and she ran a time of 7.74 in the finals of the 60 meter dash to pick up second place.
Lederaman reached a height of 3.7 meters in the pole vault, and teammate Ashley Nolet finished second behind her with a height of 3.5m. Nolet also ran a time of 9.72 in the 60m hurdles, good for fifth place.
Other top finishers included Jessica Pall, who earned second in the 400 meter run with a time of 57.91, and Margo Angelopoulos, who finished second in both the shot put and the weight throw with distances of 12.22m and 13.39m respectively.
Yale's 4x800 relay teams finished first and second in the competition, with the B team running a time of 9:28.53 and the A squad finishing in 9:36.29. The distance medley relay lineup finished first with a time of 12:09.75.
The Elis travel to Hanover, NH next weekend to compete against Dartmouth and Columbia.
