Yale Places 15th at IC4As

March 7, 2004

The Bulldogs finished 15th at the IC4As with 15 points, with pole vaulter Molly Lederman earning second place in that event and long jumper Joslyn Woodard placing fifth. In addition, Yale's 4x800 relay team had a good showing. Woodard may be headed to the NCAAs next weeekend.

Lederman's height of 12'7" earned her second place in the pole vault, an event she has dominated all season long. Meanwhile, Woodard, who set an Ivy League record in the long jump recently and holds several others, finished fifth in the long jump with a distance of 19'0".

Yale's 4x800 team of Vanessa Everding, Katie Greene, Rebecca Dickens, and Julie Emanuel ran a 8:58.56 race, good for third in that event.

Coach Mark Young said that Woodard may be headed to the NCAAs next weekend.
