CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Yale scored 88 points to beat Harvard's 75 in their sole dual meet of the season at McCurdy Track on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs won 12 events and swept the 1,500 and 3,000-meter runs in the process.
Lindsay Donaldson led the sweep in the two runs, winning with times of 4:39.51 and 9:46.40. In the 1,500-meter run she was followed by Kelli Buck and Stephanie Pearl with times of 4:43.58 and 4:44.71, while Allyson Rinderle and Katherine McKinstry took second and third behind Donaldson in the 3,000-meter run with times of 9:53.04 and 10:01.27.
Two other double winners were Olakitan Awolesi and Erica Davis. Awolesi won the long jump and triple jump with distances of 5.70 meters and 11.53 meters. Jocelyn Traina was third behind her in the triple jump (10.27 meters). Davis won the shot put by three meters, throwing a distance of 13.67 meters and also won the discus throw with a distance of 48.20 meters. She also placed third in the hammer throw (40.70 meters).
Katrina Castille won the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.84 and came in the second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.80. Just behind her in the 200-meter dash was Jessica Pall with a time of 25.07. Pall was also second in the 400-meter dash (57.70), which was won by Claudia Duncan (57.14).
Ashley Nolet tied for second in the pole vault at a height of 3.50 meters.
Both 4x100 and 4x400-meter relay teams won, finishing with times of 47.39 and 3:54.88.
