Hamilton, Martin Wrap Up Competition at NCAA East Regional

New York, N.Y. - Yale wrapped up competition at the NCAA East Regional at Icahn Stadium in New York Saturday night with two in the steeplechase. Anne Martin finished 22nd (10:50.26), while Claire Hamilton was 26th (10:57.60). The event capped a memorable weekend that saw at least one Bulldog, and possible two, advance to the NCAA Championships.
Molly Lederman finished second in the pole vault on Friday with a school-record 4.06m mark, earning a trip to Sacramento for the NCAAs June 8-11. Lindsay Donaldson (seventh in the 5000m Friday, 16:12.83) must wait until declarations are due (Tuesday, 3 p.m.) to find out if she has earned an at-large bid.
Also participating for Yale, all on Friday, were Joslyn Woodard (13th in the long jump, 5.92m), Katherine McKinstry (28th in the 5000m, 16:54.73) and Vanessa Mazandi (11th in the 800m run prelims, 2:08.54).
Yale finished 20th with 10 points.
