Bulldogs Post a Number of First Place Finishes at Winter Carnival

Several Yale athletes posted strong performances at the Husky Winter Carnival, hosted by Northeastern University. Jessica Pall and Vanessa Mazandi were two of Yale's runners who earned first in their events.

Pall got her first place finish in the 500 meter run, finishing with a time of 1:17.44. Captain Katrina Svoboda followed her in second place with a time of 1:18.53

Vanessa Mazandi ran to a first place score in the 800 meter run, finishing in 2:15.09. The Bulldogs also had the fastest time in the women's 4x400 run, scoring 3:59.97.

Other top finishers included Molly Lederman, who came in 2nd in the pole vault with a 12 foot clearance. Aisha Cort finished 2nd in the high jump, getting over a height of 5'2", while Margo Angelopoulos finished fourth in the shot put with a distance of 11.93.
