Five Bulldogs Win Events at Yale Spring Invitational

The Bulldogs placed first in five events at the Yale Spring Invitational and qualified another runner for the ECAC championships in two weeks. Yale hosted the invitational, which was not scored. Claire Hamilton met the ECAC qualifying time for the 3000 meter steeplechase, winning the event with a time of 10:56.97. Madeleine Meek won the women's 1500 meter run with a time of 4:44.22. Katie Dlesk took the 400 meter hurdles event in 1:05.63. The Bulldogs swept the top five spots in the 3000 meter run, with Emily Vince finishing first, followed by Nadia Sawicki and Alex Sawicki.

Yale also had a strong showing in field events. Lisa Wygant won the high jump event with a height of 1.68 meters. Sarah Mendillo and Ashley Nolet placed second in the javelin and pole vault, respectively.

The Bulldogs travel to Brown next weekend to compete in the outdoor track Heptagonal championships.
