Joslyn Woodard Named Academic All-District

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Joslyn Woodard, who was named the Outstanding Performer at both the Indoor and Outdoor Heptagonal Championships, has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District I team.
At the outdoor Heps, Woodard captured the long jump and 100 and 200 meter dashes. At indoor Heps, she won the long jump and 60 and 200 meter dashes.
Woodard, a molecular, cellular, developmental biology major, is a three-time Outdoor Heps champion in the long jump and a two-time winner in both the 100 and 200 dashes. She holds the school record indoors in the 55, 60 and 200 dashes. Outdoors, she holds the top Yale mark in the 100 dash, the long jump and as part of the 400 and 800 relays. The long jump record came two weeks ago at the ECAC Championship.
To be considered for Academic All-America honors, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher and be a starter or key reserve for their team.
The Academic All-America team will be released June 23.
