Incoming Volleyball Class Nationally Recognized
4 Frosh Bulldogs Announced
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - For the third time in five years and the second in a row, Yale's incoming recruiting class has been recognized as one of the nation's best according to Prepvolleyball.com, a website dedicated to the coverage of high school and club volleyball. Yale Volleyball's Class of 2014, which features McHaney Carter, Gina Finke, Kendall Polan and Erica Reetz, was selected for high honorable mention in Prepvolleyball.com's annual rankings of the nation's top recruiting classes, as determined by a panel of over 100 collegiate coaches.
"We're thrilled to be recognized for the second year in a row,
especially considering we're a non-scholarship school," Yale head
coach Erin Appleman said. "I'm really excited for the 2010 season
and to work with these players."
The high honorable mention category also features such
national powers as the University of Washington, UC Irvine,
Dayton, and UC Santa Barbara. Eight of the 25 programs recognized
as HHM played in the 2009 NCAA Championships, including the 2005
winner Washington.
