Reetz Named Ivy League Rookie Of Week For Second Time
Posted Double-Doubles In Two Yale Wins
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Erica Reetz (Thiensville, Wis.), who posted double-doubles in a pair of Yale victories over the weekend, has been named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week for the second time this season. Reetz, who is sixth in the league in kills, tallied 3.14 kills per set and 3.29 digs per set.
Reetz produced nine digs, broke a 20-all tie with a kill and was at the top of her game in a vital fourth set victory for Yale over Columbia. She gave the Bulldogs 12 kills and 12 digs in the win over the Lions. Reetz's other double-double (10 kills and 11 digs) of the weekend helped the Bulldogs to a 3-0 victory over the Big Red last Friday. She earned the Bulldogs timely points against Cornell – including kills that gave the Bulldogs a commanding 21-13 lead in the second set and closed out the match with a thunderous attack.
Reetz also was honored after her performance at the Long Island Invitational in September. Kendall Polan also has earned two Ivy League Rookie of the Week awards for the Bulldogs.
Yale is back on the road this weekend, playing at Harvard on Friday at 7 p.m. and at Dartmouth on Saturday at 5 p.m.
