Bulldogs and Bears Play Saturday in Providence

The Bulldogs look to keep pace in the Ivy standings as they kickoff off the second-half of the conference schedule with a match at Brown on Saturday night.

The match is set for 7 p.m. in Providence, R.I.

Yale split a pair of road matches last weekend.  The Bulldogs lost to Princeton and defeated Penn.

With a 6-1 Ivy mark, the Bulldogs are tied with Princeton for first place in the conference standings.  Yale is 12-5 overall.

Yale freshman Allie Frappier posted a team-best 28 kills and added 23 digs last weekend to lead the Bulldogs, while sophomore McHaney Carter McHaney Carter hit .452 last weekend with 15 kills and only one error in 31 attempts.

Defense continues to be a hallmark for the Bulldogs – they rank ninth in the nation in digs per set (17.95).

Seven different Bulldogs had at least one kill and Yale hit .327 for the match in a dominating 3-0 win over Brown in the Ivy League opener on Sept. 24.  Last weekend, Brown defeated Penn, 3-2, and lost 3-0 at Princeton.

Brown is 2-5 in Ivy play and 5-12 overall.
