Bulldogs Makng Fourth NCAA Appearance in Nine Years

NEW HAVEN -- After finishing the Ivy League season undefeated and capturing its third-straight conference title, the Yale women's volleyball team will learn its next opponent during the NCAA Selection Show this Sunday at 4 p.m. Eastern Time on ESPNU.

The Bulldogs won 15 straight matches to finish the 2012 regular season and completed the second 14-0 season in Ivy League volleyball history.  Yale went 18-5 overall and featured five players who earned All-Ivy honors.

Junior Kendall Polan earned Ivy League Player of the Year for the second season in a row, while freshman Kelly Johnson captured conference rookie of the year honors.  Sophomore Mollie Rogers joined Polan and Johnson with a spot on the All-Ivy First Team, while senior team captain Haley Wessels and sophomore Maddie Rudnick were named to the All-Ivy Second Team.

Yale will be making its fourth-ever NCAA appearance.  Last season, the Bulldogs faced then-No.1-ranked USC in the NCAA first round and lost 3-0 in Los Angeles, Calif.
