HANOVER, N.H. -- Tristin Kott posted a season-high 15 kills and the Bulldogs started a five-match road swing with a 3-0 win at Dartmouth on Friday night.
The scores of the match were 25-16, 25-21 and 25-14.
Kott, who earned All-Ivy status last season, hit .565 for the match with only two errors on 23 swings. While Kott provided offense, the Bulldogs posted a season-best 62 digs in three sets.
Kate Swanson had 19 digs and all 12 Bulldogs who played had at least one dig.
Yale (11-4, 5-1 Ivy) seized control of the first set with block assists from Kott and Izzy Simqu to break a 6-6 tie. From there, the Bulldogs scored six of the next seven points with the help of kills from Kott, Kelley Wirth and Kathryn Attar.
In the second set, Kaitlyn Gibbons gave Yale a 21-20 lead with a kill set up by Swanson. On the next point, Swanson delivered a service ace followed by a kill from Wirth. Gibbons would close out the set with another kill.
The Bulldogs jumped out a 16-5 lead in the third set and cruised.
Wirth finished with 10 kills and reached double figures for the 12th time this season and Franny Arnautou just missed a double-double with 17 assists and nine digs.
The Bulldogs play at Harvard tomorrow at 5 p.m. Harvard defeated Brown on Friday night and are tied with the Bulldogs at 5-1 in league play.
