PrepVolleyball Awards Class High Honorable Mention Recognition

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - For the 10th year in a row, defending Ivy League champion Yale volleyball's incoming class, which includes the Pennsylvania High School Gatorade Player of the Year and two 17 Open medalists, has been recognized as one of the nation's best by Prepvolleyball. The Yale Class of 2022 — Samantha Bray, Ellis DeJardin, Ashley Dreyer, Lauren Potter, and Rene Shultz — received High Honorable Mention from the online website. Other programs receiving the same honor include Colorado, Florida State, Louisville, and Ohio State.

Yale is the only Ivy League program to be recognized for 10 straight years.

"I couldn't be more excited to work with these student-athletes," Head Coach Erin Appleman said. "They each have amazing personalities and abilities that will help enhance not only the great culture on our team but at Yale in general."

Under the direction of Appleman, Yale has won eight Ivy League titles and has never been either lower than second in the Ivy League, or one game out of first place, in the past 14 years.

The winningest Ivy League volleyball program of the last 14 years, Yale's five newcomers come from four states: California (DeJardin, Dreyer), Florida (Potter), Pennsylvania (Shultz), and Texas (Bray).
