NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- After winning its eighth Ivy League title in the last 14 years in 2017, Yale earned three first-place votes and were picked to finish second this season in the conference's inaugural volleyball preseason media poll announced on Monday afternoon.
The Bulldogs look to continue their success in 2018 with five returning All-Ivy selections and a nationally recognized first-year class. Yale finished 16-8 last season and 10-4 in the Ivy League.
In the poll, Yale earned 118 points. Princeton was tabbed to finish first with 133 points.
Yale opens the season this Friday at 7 p.m. with a home match against Fairfield.
