NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- For the second time this season, Yale first-year Ellis DeJardin earned Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors, the league office announced on Monday.
DeJardin had 13 kills and 11 digs while hitting .387 in Yale's 3-0 win at Brown last Saturday. It was her third double-double of the season.
"I thought Ellis played great in her first Ivy match," Yale head coach Erin Appleman said. "It was a nice way to start the season."
Through 10 matches, DeJardin ranks second on the team in kills per set (2.76).
The Bulldogs return to action this Friday with a match at Penn, followed by a match at Princeton on Saturday.
