NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- First-year middle blocker Samantha Bray was named Ivy League Rookie of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday.
Bray had 10 kills on 16 swings without an error in a 3-0 win over Brown on Saturday and hit .625 for the match. With four block assists on Saturday, Bray leads the team with 48 total blocks this season.
"Sam was incredible this weekend," Yale head coach Erin Appleman said. "She has the ability to dominate at any time and she is gaining more confidence every day."
The Bulldogs return to action on Friday with a home match against Princeton at 6 p.m. The match will be televised on ESPNU.
